Virginia Country Wedding

Ruthie and Cameron are good friends of mine. Cameron is one of my oldest friends, and Ruthie has been a gem to get to know. I had the honor of offering my hands to help on their wedding day. I can't take any credit for the beauty of their wedding, but I was happy to help lift a table or two! Kristin Partin took these amazing photos, I love every one of them!

University of Richmond Wedding

Katie and David got married on October 9, 2011. They had a lovely ceremony at Cannon Memorial Chapel at the University of Richmond, followed by a reception at the Willow Oaks Country Club. Be sure to read some of the DIY details posted at the bottom of this post. Katie had some really clever ideas! Isn't she stunning?!

Ceremony: Cannon Memorial Chapel, University of Richmond

DIY Details:

-Katie made letters for doors of the chapel out of styrofoam, and shaped them in to a D for David, and K for Katie. She hot glued ribbon around the edges and placed artificial flowers on the sides.

-One of my favorite tips: Katie monogramed the vases at the reception to use as centerpieces, and saved money by using the bridemaid's bouquets for the centerpiece flowers.

-The programs were made from Katie's computer printed onto half sheets of thick champagne colors paper.

Virginia Vineyard Wedding

Let me introduce Mr. &Mrs. Ian Davis! This wedding was by far one of the best and most eye catching weddings of the year. I was so grateful when I contacted the Bride, Shari, and she agreed to let me feature her wedding, what an honor! Shari and Ian's happiness brightens every photo, and I am so glad they let Tall and Small Photography capture the special moments. This wedding is a tear jerker for me, I hope you enjoy it too! Be sure to read the descriptions to find out helpful tips and DIY ideas directly from the Bride!
Shari and Ian wrote letters to one another to read before the Ceremony
